I went to see the new version of True Grit a few days ago and was quite impressed with the movie. I have seen the original version many times and I was concerned that the new release would fall short on casting  the character of Mattie but they did a great job.

Why are there no good westerns today? I mean really, it’s disappointing to be quite frank. Nothing compares to Clint Eastwood in The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly or A Fistful of Dollars. Oh, and of course you can’t forget about good ole’ Mr. Wayne himself. The Shootist, Red River, and El Dorado will forever be poignant in my mind. It disgusts me nowadays when I turn on the TV and see these so-called actor wannabe’s trying to reenact a western. It makes me want to give them the boot!

So now I’m blogging. I am XXX years  young and I don’t know how much of any of this is your business but I’m blogging.

Does it make sense for a guy who doesn’t want to share any thoughts with anyone to have a blog.  Humbug to all of you, but here we go blogging anyway.  Seriously do other people really see this stuff.  What kind of life do you people have, if mine is interesting to you, wow.

OK, I’ve got some stories I can tell, if all you folks have boaring lives and need to live vicariously through my stories then I’ll tell a story or two.
